These efforts aim to address challenges in reliable data collection, ensure safety for maritime traffic, and fulfill the U.S. National Strategy for the Arctic Region by investing in modernized domain awareness and improved sensing capabilities in the Arctic, supporting national security and global trade growth as melting sea ice opens up maritime trade routes.
